Here’s what’s happening at LifeSource…

LifeGroup Connections

More and more individuals are discovering the many benefits of being part of an ongoing LifeGroup. These small groups meet weekly and range from Bible studies, book discussions, knitting, spiritual growth videos, marriage and family, personal finances, outdoor recreation and MORE! At LifeSource, we believe that “spiritual maturity happens best in LifeGroups.” Interested in joining or leading a LifeGroup? Contact Johnny (423-762-8885) or Lillian Wheeler (423-432-3279) for more information.

NEW--Children's Sabbath School
Thanks to the efforts of many caring LifeSource volunteers, we're proud to announce the launch of our new Children's Sabbath School program every Saturday morning beginning at 9:30 am. All classes and rooms are in the west hallway as follows:

  •  Nursery (Birth-3yrs) Room #53
  •  Brave Lions (4-6yrs) Room #55
  •  Soaring Eagles (7-11yrs) Room #54

This new curriculum is designed to teach children all about Jesus and the Bible in a fun and educational environment. Be sure to tell your friends about this exciting new ministry at LifeSource and invite them to join you!

New LifeSource Cafe Hours
To better serve you and to support our new Sabbath School classes and worship service, the LifeSource cafe is now open from 10:25 to 10:50 am every Saturday morning. Drop by, sample our delicious morning refreshments and enjoy fellowship with others between Sabbath School and worship. As always, we appreciate your generous "donations" to support this wonderful ministry.

Continued Prayers for Dee Lawton

As most of you know, Dee Lawton, close friend of several of our members and a regular attendee at LifeSource is home recovering from a near fatal head-on car accident last August in California. She is still confined to a wheelchair and greatly appreciates visits from members and friends. Over the Christmas holidays Dee wrote the following “thank you” to her church family:

“Pastor Phil and Debbie and all of LifeSource (xoxo), Thank you for your blessings and continued support throughout my healing experience. Without your love and encouragement, I wouldn’t be doing as well as I am. I love you all and hope one day my whole family (families) will draw closer to God. Thank you for remembering me. I love you! Love & hugs, Dee, John and Johnny.”

Be sure to remember Dee and her family when you send out those blue encouragement cards. Her mailing address is in the LifeSource church directory. She’d also love a phone call or personal visit too.

LifeSource Website Updated!

We’ve finally taken our church website to a new level. We’ve added information to nearly every page and are updating our church calendar on a regular basis. Check out our online giving for anyone who would like to support this ministry to the unchurched. A First-Time Guest "30-second" online survey helps us gather important data about how effective we are at connecting with newcomers. Check it out! Please give us your feedback. It’s an important way for us to continue to make effectiv improvements to LifeSource.

Online Giving Is Ready!

We now offer you “online giving” on the LifeSource website! Simply go to our "home" page and click on the "online giving" link and you're on your way to expressing your gratitude to God for His generous heart toward you. "Each person should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)

LifeSource TV Commercials

"People Like You," professionally produced LifeSource church commercials, are touching the secular cable television audience during prime time in the greater Coeur d’Alene, Hayden, Post Falls and in the Silver Valley. Our spots currently air on CNN morning news, ABC Family channel and Nick at Night. Be sure to ask your friends, “Hey, have you seen the LifeSource commercials on cable TV? They’re for people just like you.” With your gift we can continue to budget just $250 per month to keep these commercials reaching out to our secular television audience.

Little Lambs Building Fund Offering

You’ll know it’s time for the building fund offering during Sabbath worship when the children are invited to circulate among the congregation receiving your cash gifts. This usually takes place right after our songs of praise. We believe that God has great plans for LifeSource and we’re investing now. Don’t miss this opportunity to place your "treasures in heaven." We especially appreciate those larger green bills!
PLEASE, don’t forget our LifeSource Budget still needs your faithful monthly support.

LifeSource Governing Board

The LifeSource governing board meets monthly to review the “Guiding Principles” for accountability, mission and boundaries in relationship to church ministry and our mission. They also approve our “consent agenda” involving financial reports, membership requests, leadership, etc. This new process frees up the church board to focus on its number one goal: maintaining our mission.

Since January 2009, duly elected governance leaders have completed the task of writing the "guiding principles" for LifeSource church. Long hours of preparation, earnest prayer and focused discussion to process our mission, visioin and values have made all of this possible. (Governance Board Members serving in 2010: Terry McLeod (chair), Angela Farnes, Trina Sage, Jennifer Ward, Kenny Weakly, Pastor Phil Muthersbaugh)
